The Situation – Escambia County Bank, Flomaton, Alabama
From a technical point of view, providing reliable backup power for this community bank in the town of Flomaton, in extreme south Alabama, was not a huge challenge. But in small communities, when one or two banks serve the entire population, the folks in charge of the banks are cautious – and rightly so.
Alan Friday, President of ESSE points out, “Flomaton is right at the Florida panhandle – close enough to be affected during the tropical storm season. Standby power is a more sensitive issue for businesses in Flomaton that it might be in other locations.”
The Challenge
ESSE’s challenge with the Escambia County Bank, was more about making the customer feel confident that, if or when an emergency power situation arose, there would be ample power to serve the facility, and that there was a reputable, responsive company standing behind that standby genset ready to provide service at a moment’s notice. ESSE, LLC rose to that challenge.
The Solution
Our solution for Escambia County Bank was a 200kW diesel genset and as service contract ensuring proper service should there be a problem with the generator. We also provided an extended warranty to extend service and maintenance down the road. A responsive service team and strong customer support enabled ESSE to reassure the customer that the performance of the generator would never be in question.
